It took Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky three working days to do what former president Petro Poroshenko failed to do over several years. Ukraine’s Anti-Corruption Court started work on September 5, as planned.
“Today the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) finally begins work in Ukraine. This is the last critical element in Ukraine’s anti-corruption architecture and it will help win the battle against corruption. Ukraine finally has the ability to prosecute corrupt high-level officials,” tweeted Iulia Mendel, the president’s spokeswoman.
