Ukrainian soldier Andriy Teperyk, 24, was killed in action in the Donbas war zone on April 10, the Joint Forces Operation reported on April 11.
The deadly incident took place near the village of Zolote-3 in Luhansk Oblast.
Teperyk, a marksman with the 92nd Mechanized Infantry Brigade, was fatally wounded by small-arms fire. Another soldier was wounded in the attack and is currently hospitalized in stable condition, the report said.
This is the fourth combat-related fatality in April alone.
Russian-sponsored forces opened fire with automatic grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, firearms and 82-millimeter mortars, which are prohibited under the Minsk peace negotiations.
