Ukrainian tennis star Elina Svitolina won Dubai Open championship on Feb. 24, defeating Russian rival Daria Kasatkina.
Svitolina, 23, triumphed over Kasatkina with 6-4, 6-0 score in the championship’s finals. The Ukrainian player thus retained her Dubai title that she won in 2017.
Svitolina ranks as the fourth player in the world in the Women’s Tennis Association ranking.
She was also named by the Kyiv Post one of the Top 30 Ukrainians Under 30 Years in 2017.
