In the decisive match in the selection for the 2022 World Cup, the Ukrainian team played in a 1:1 draw with the reigning world champion France.
According to an online broadcast on the Ukraine TV channel, at the 44th minute of the first half, Mykola Shaparenko scored the first goal against the French team. Now the score is 1:0 in favor of Ukraine.
And already on the 50th minute of the second half, France leveled the score, scoring a goal against the Ukrainian national team. Frenchman Martial Anthony scored the ball into the net with his head, crossing the line.
The referee added another six minutes to the second half, but the game ended with the score of 1:1.
The match took place at the NSC Olimpiysky stadium in Kyiv on Saturday, September 4.
