“The parties will maintain a constant dialog on topical issues of the socio-economic and socio-political development of Ukraine and Georgia, the European Union and international relations. Cooperation between the parties will be aimed, in particular, at Ukraine’s achieving the criteria for joining the European community,” reads a statement posted on the Web site of the UDAR Party on Sunday.

According to the party’s press service, in Tbilisi, Klitschko attended a conference of the United National Movement, where he met with Saakashvili, and also visited the new House of Justice.

“The Georgians have shown that large-scale and significant changes can be made within a few years. I compare my impressions of Georgia in the late 1990s and today – the difference is fundamental. This is a different country. A recent example of this was the parliamentary election held in October. Georgia showed everyone that it’s a democratic state where the opposition can come to power through democratic elections,” Klitschko said in his speech at the conference.
