“Not later than three weeks from the day of the vote. That is, not later than Nov. 15. A decision concerning the holding of the runoff voting is taken by a corresponding local election commission,” Mahera said in an exclusive interview with Interfax-Ukraine.
According to him, it was yet too early to forecast in which cities of Ukraine the runoff voting would be held, as in some of them the candidates might win already in the first round of the election. On the whole, Ukraine has 35 cities where the number of voters exceeds 90,000.

The CEC deputy head also recalled that a total of Hr 1.18 billion had been allocated for local elections. “This amount is enough to hold the elections across Ukraine, including the runoff voting,” Mahera said.
