Such findings were gathered by GfK Ukraine during its research in January held among Internet users aged between 18 and 45 years old and who live in cities with a population of over 500,000 people.

In keeping with the research, IKEA household goods stores (46.8% of votes of those polled) and H&M clothing stores (39.4%) are the leaders among the brands of international chain stores that Ukrainians would like to see in their country. The third and fourth places are occupied by Apple Store (30%) and Hugo Boss clothing stores (29.8%), respectively. Walmart ranks fifth with 25.8% of votes.

GfK Ukraine says that H&M is mentioned twice as frequently by women compared to men. The latter did not include this brand in their top 5. However, the male top 5 included the Tesco supermarket chain.

In addition, the research shows that the three leading international chains of cafes and restaurants include Pizza Hut (49.5%), Starbucks Coffee (39.6%) and Burger King (38.5%).

Pizza Hut is the undisputed leader in the ratings by women and men, but women often say they miss Starbucks Coffee and Costa Coffee, while men would like to see Burger King.
