Pivdenny seaport (formerly Yuzhny, Odesa region), the largest seaport of Ukraine in terms of transshipment volume, in January-July increased cargo handling by 29.5% compared to the same period in 2019, to 36.429 million tonnes.

According to the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority, in the seven months the port increased transshipment of exported cargo by 27.5%, to 27.282 million tonnes, imported cargo by 30.4%, to 4.724 million tonnes, transit by 35%, to 4.174 million tonnes, while 248,600 tonnes of cabotage freight were handled.

In terms of the nomenclature of cargo, the port increased transshipment of liquid cargo by 30.3% compared to January-July 2019, to 3.260 million tonnes, dry bulk cargo by 32.1%, to 30.401 million tonnes, packaged goods by 6%, to 2.768 million tonnes.

Transshipment of containers for the specified period amounted to 144,909 TEU (more by 26.5%).
