Russia’s war against Ukraine will be long, and the duration of the war depends on many factors.

The relevant statement was made by National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) Secretary Oleksiy Danilov in an interview with ISLND TV, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Talking of this part of the hot phase of the war, I am not optimistic that it will end in April or May. It will be a long war, and it will continue within our territory,” Danilov told.

In his words, the duration of the war depends on many factors. Mainly, it depends on the Ukrainian Army, but also Ukraine’s partners.

According to Danilov, without support from partners, it would be very difficult for Ukraine to hold back Russian troops.
A reminder that, on Feb. 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin initiated a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, starting a war. Russian troops are shelling and destroying the key infrastructure facilities, launching air and missile strikes on Ukrainian cities and villages, torturing and murdering civilians.
