Ukraine’s SBU Security Service has blocked the destructive activities of Mariya Knyazeva, who under the pseudonym “Saushkina” worked for the Rossiya-1 and Rossiya-24 television channels from Ukraine.

“The Russian journalist, using her contacts with pro-Russia minded representatives of Ukrainian media outlets and experts, gathered information about the situation in government and the activities of state agencies and law-enforcement bodies. She used this information to broadcast reports about the situation in Ukraine,” says SBU press release posted to the agency’s Facebook page on July 26.

The press release said that Knyazeva was deported to Russia and banned from re-entering the country for three years because of her activities.
