The Ukrainian Defense Forces reported strikes on an automobile bridge over the Henichesk Strait, a Russian air defense system, and multiple unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) command posts overnight Friday-Saturday.

According to military statements, the targeted bridge over the Henichesk Strait in the Kherson region serves as a logistical route for Russian forces, facilitating the transport of military supplies between the occupied Crimean Peninsula and Russian troop deployments in southern Ukraine.

In the Zaporizhzhia region, Ukrainian forces struck a Russian Pantsir-S anti-aircraft missile and gun system near the settlement of Dolynske.

The military also reported that strikes conducted the previous day targeted Russian UAV command posts in three separate locations: near Soledar in the Donetsk region, Hrozove in the Zaporizhzhia region, and Terebreno in Russia’s Belgorod region.

Drone strikes across Crimea

The strikes on military logistics and command posts coincide with reports of multiple UAV attacks targeting locations across the occupied Crimean Peninsula early Saturday morning.

The strikes resulted in fires at several energy and transport facilities. Satellite data indicated two separate fires at the Tavriyska Thermal Power Plant near Strohonivka in the Simferopol district. The 470-megawatt facility was put into operation in 2019.

Fires were also recorded at oil and gas storage facilities northwest of Bakhchysarai. The storage sites are operated by “TES,” a company managing a large network of gas stations on the peninsula. Additional fires were reported at two gas distribution stations near the villages of Zhuravlivka and Lokhivka following reported explosions in those areas.

Russian Defense Sector Drains Civilian Labor Market, Artificially Inflating Wages

A reallocation of resources to Russia’s military-industrial complex has overheated specific labor market segments, artificially inflating official wage statistics.

Transport and industrial infrastructure also sustained damage. Satellites detected a fire in the vicinity of the Henichesk bridge on the Arabat Spit. Reports indicated this fire occurred in an area where occupation authorities had previously constructed a pontoon crossing after earlier strikes on permanent bridges.

Another fire was recorded at the railway entrance to the Crimean Titan plant in Armiansk, where local residents reported hearing explosions and gunfire around midnight.

Throughout the night, residents reported explosions and the activation of Russian air defense systems in Simferopol, Perevalne, Sevastopol, and the Krasnoperekopsk district.
