The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) neutralized a Russian agent who created 20 pro-Russian online media outlets in Ukraine. This was reported by the press center of the SBU this week.

The suspect is a resident of Kyiv. His actions were supervised by the special services of the aggressor country to spread ideas about “Russian peace” in Ukraine as far and wide as possible.

To do this, the Kyiv citizen was tasked to create more than 20 online media which justified the armed aggression of the Russian Federation. In addition, fake pieces about the Armed Forces of Ukraine were seeded into the publications in an attempt to destabilize the situation in Ukraine.

The total audience of these resources amounted to more than 2.2 million unique users per month.
