Ukraine has successfully struck a missile factory near Moscow and a chemical plant in Russia's Bryansk region, a source in the Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) has told Kyiv Post.

The “methods, locations, and tools” used in the strikes were not disclosed but the source said: “There were 'bavovna' (‘cotton,’ a Ukrainian slang term for explosions) and [detonations] within the aggressor state's territory, directly linked to the production of missile weapons, particularly Kinzhal.”

The Kinzhal is Russia’s “hypersonic” cruise missiles, a weapon billed by the Kremlin to be too fast for any missile in the world to intercept, though repeated interceptions by Patriot air defense systems in Ukraine have proven otherwise.

The source did not elaborate on the damage caused to the missile factory or the chemical plant but said that “following these actions, the enemy will face increased challenges.”

According to Russian media reports, a drone targeted a chemical plant in the Bryansk region.

The Baza Telegram channel stated that on the night of November 14, an aircraft-type drone was discovered in a workshop under construction at the "Bryansk Chemical Plant named after the 50th anniversary of the USSR" in the village of Siltse.

The drone, carrying explosives, did not detonate, but it pierced the workshop's roof in three places. Special services personnel were dispatched to the scene.
