In accordance with the Geneva Convention, another 45 bodies of Ukrainian defenders were returned to the territories controlled by Ukraine, the Ukrainian government has confirmed:

“Another operation took place to transfer the bodies of our soldiers. The bodies of 45 of its defenders have been returned to Ukraine.”

The operation was carried out with assistance from Oleh Kotenko, Commissioner for Missing Persons, and the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine.

On 3 July  Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister and  Minister for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories, reported that the country managed to recover the bodies of more than 400 soldiers killed since the beginning of the full-scale war with Russia.
