Ukrainian Intelligence and Special Forces have formed and coordinated an organized movement of resistance in the occupied territories, particularly the Kherson region. Here, organized resistance forces regularly attack collaborators and traitors.
On July 27, a car with two Russian collaborators was blown up in by an improvised explosive device. As a result, one traitor died and the other in the hospital.

The Russian occupiers blame Ukrainian partisans for the incident. The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported that the resistance movement in Kherson conducted the attack.
On the same day, according to the Special Operations Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, representatives of the Ukrainian resistance movement eliminated a group of Russian occupiers in Kherson. Ukrainians managed to get essential documents: maps, conventional designations, and ciphers of the Russian occupiers.
On July 14, Mykhailo Podolyak, an adviser to the head of the President’s Office, took to Twitter to describe the successful and “unbelievable special operations” of Ukrainian partisans.
“The Russian occupiers are deprived of sleep not only by HIMARS but also by the Ukrainian resistance movement. The time will come when the world will learn about the incredible special operations carried out by our partisans behind enemy lines,” he stated.

Momentum
The local resistance movement is gathering strength in the occupied part of the Kherson region. Russians and collaborators are being forced to use security, while most collaborators do not appear publicly and show up surrounded by Russian guards.
In recent weeks, there have been several attacks on collaborators in the Kherson region. On June 18, collaborator Yevhen Sobolev received serious leg injuries during an explosion.
On June 22, the so-called head of the military-civilian administration of Chornobayivka, Yury Turuliov, received minor injuries from the explosion. On the same day, the car of ex-deputy collaborator Oleksiy Kovalev was blown up – he was wounded but survived.
On July 2, CNN, citing U.S. officials, reported that Russia lacks the power to control the occupied Kherson region. Furthermore, attacks aimed at collaborators in recent weeks indicate the growth of the resistance movement in the south of Ukraine.
It is very likely that this resistance movement organized by the Ukrainian special services will play a key role in the de-occupation of the Kherson region in the future.
