Ihor Klymenko, the head of the MoIA, announced that the Unified Weapons Register (UWR) became operational in Ukraine today Friday, June 23.

The minister shared this information through Telegram, stating, "Today is June 23, which was an important deadline that I publicly set for myself and the entire team of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. I am pleased to announce that the Unified Weapons Register is now fully operational."

Klymenko highlighted the main advantages of implementing the UWR. Firstly, citizens will have easy access to information about their registered firearms. Additionally, the process of obtaining permits for firearms will be simplified.

The UWR includes the creation of Electronic Cabinets, enabling Ukrainians to complete the necessary procedures without leaving their homes. They can submit the required documents through the "Citizen's Single Window" platform or at licensed weapons stores, eliminating the need to visit the National Police.
