Russia launched a country-wide drone attack against Ukraine overnight, hitting critical infrastructure in the western city of Lviv. 

Authorities said 35 kamikaze drones were used in the attack, 32 of which were shot down, mostly in the airspace around Kyiv.

There are no reports of casualties at this time.

The military administration of Lviv said Russia hit “critical infrastructure” in the city, sparking fire.

Russia also used S-300 missiles to attack the Zaporizhzhia region in southeast Ukraine where authorities said they targeted telecommunication infrastructure and agriculture and farming properties.

In Kyiv, air raid sirens sounded just before 3am with the all-clear being given at 6:30 a.m. 

Serhiy Popko, head of the Kyiv military administration, said on the Telegram: “Another massive air attack on the capital.

“This is the second attack by Iranian-made drones on Kyiv since the beginning of the month and the first in the last 18 days.” 

Three Shahed drones were also shot down over the southern region of Mykolaiv, governor Vitaliy Kim said on Telegram.
