The number of victims who sought medical help after the explosion at an ammunition exhibition in Chernihiv increased to 15 people, of whom are eight children and seven adults.

Viacheslav Chaus, the head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, said during a telethon on Ukrainian TV channels, Ukrinform reports.

As of midday on September 4, two children and two adults were in hospital.

The State Bureau of Investigation is investigating the incident.

As reported, on September 3, explosions rang out in Chernihiv at approximately 13:30. As it turned out, there was an ammunition exhibition near the art museum. One of the exhibits exploded. It was reported about six children injured in the explosion. In particular, a two-year boy underwent surgery that lasted for almost seven hours.
