Andriy Yermak, the head of the Ukrainian President’s Office, said that unless there are radical changes in the structure of the Russian Federation, there will always be a risk of another full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Speaking exclusively to Kyiv Post on Feb. 22 , Yermak, the man many consider to be President Volodymyr Zelensky’s closest advisor, said: “If the current state of Russia remains as it is, then there is a risk of repeating the offensive over time.”

He also said that Ukraine has every chance of victory in the current war but that “the decisive battle has not yet taken place.”

Yermak added that Ukraine needs full NATO membership and security guarantees to protect against a future war with the Russian Federation.

“The Russian Federation has no chance of winning a war with NATO,” Yermak said emphatically.

He also told Kyiv Post that Ukraine will become a member of the Alliance “most likely after the victory in the war.”
