One Russian aircraft, nine drones were shot down in the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s Air Force reported on Facebook.

“A Su-25 attack aircraft and nine Orlan-10 drones of the occupiers were destroyed by the air defense forces of the [Ukrainian] Ground Forces and Air Force on April 29, using various means of destruction,” the statement said.

Ukraine’s Air Force added that the aerial targets were struck partly by using “portable anti-aircraft missile systems of foreign production” in reference to new weapons the war-torn country is in possession of and has received.

About 23,000 Russian military personnel have been killed since the renewed invasion of Feb. 24, Ukraine’s military estimates.

Kremlin despot Vladimir Putin ordered an all-out invasion of the neighboring country that day as part of a war he was waged since 2014.
