“We would like to draw [former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia
Tymoshenko’s defense] lawyer [Serhiy] Vlasenko’s attention to the fact
that all documents on the rulings of the Hamburg court are available on
open access in the original language, as well as in Ukrainian and
Russian. So, no matter how bitter the truth is, the fact remains. The
lawsuit was rejected and they will have to cover the cost of
litigation,” the party’s press service quoted the MP on Friday.

“Now we have to wait for a ruling of a London court, although I doubt
that Tymoshenko and her lawyers really appealed to it,” the politician
said.

As reported, earlier Vlasenko said that reports that a court in
Hamburg had allegedly rejected a lawsuit lodged by former Ukrainian
Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko against incumbent Prime Minister Mykola
Azarov were untrue.

In turn, the Regions Party insisted that the court issued such a
ruling. According to Hamburg District Court, the plaintiff will have to
cover the costs of litigation in amount of EUR 300,000. The decision was
made under paragraph 91 of the Civil Procedure Code of Germany.

Some media reported on January 23 that the District Court of Hamburg
had not satisfied a lawsuit filed by Tymoshenko against Azarov.
According to them, Tymoshenko filed the lawsuit in late August 2012. In
her appeal, the ex-premier demanded that Azarov be banned from making
statements about her alleged involvement in the crimes of former Prime
Minister Pavlo Lazarenko.
