NEWS ITEM: Several thousand people protested against the anticipated opening of the farmland market in Kyiv on Dec. 17. Despite the protests being officially called by agrarian organizations and supposedly represented small farmers, the most active participants were members of the far-right paramilitary group National Militia, who attacked police officers guarding the rally.
