NEWS ITEM: The World Anti-Doping Agency, overseen by the International Olympic Committee, on Dec. 11 banned Russia for four years from all major sporting events, including the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Russia was accused of a sustained state-sponsored cheating scheme that involved steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs.
