Kanye West went east for his latest clothing collection advertising campaign.
The U.S. rapper chose Ukrainian model Ganna Bogdan to promote his brand’s Yeezy’s Calabasas merchandise collection, which reportedly sold out in less than five minutes when it was launched on March 28.
The campaign pictures show Bogdan, who moved from Kyiv to the United States a couple of years ago, alongside U.S. rapper A$AP Nast, wearing and promoting Yeezy track pants, sweatshirts, baseball caps, and socks. They also sport Yeezy Powerphase Calabasas, retro model all-white sneakers with red and gold lettering.
In the photographs, Bogdan is seen embracing A$AP Nast near a light gray concrete fence and on a bench. Another picture shows just a part of Bogdan’s legs wearing the sneakers from the highly anticipated collaborative collection with Adidas.
The whole collection features the word “Calabasas” and the photographs, taken by London-based photographer Daniel Regan, were shot in the town of the same name, which inspired the collection. West lives in Calabasas, a city in Los Angeles County, with his wife Kim Kardashian and daughter North.
Bogdan started her modelling career with Kyiv model agency Faces and quickly made an impact, taking part in many Ukrainian Fashion Week shows.
She then moved to the United States, where her career progressed even further. She has stared in numerous photo shoots and music videos, including The Lonely Island’s and Pharrell’s “Hugs” and Blake Shelton’s “Came Here to Forget.”
This is not the first time Bogdan has worked with West. For almost two months she worked as the fitting model for the Yeezy Season 4 collection, after which she was invited to model in the actual fashion show.
Despite pursuing a successful career abroad, Bogdan still works with Ukrainian artists as well. She has starred in two of singer Max Barskih’s videos: “Hero In” and “Tumany” (“Mists”) and in singer Ivan Dorn’s latest music video “Collaba,” which was shot in the United States.
