“DUK, which is sharing tasks with the army, is ready to subordinate to army commanders in defending the nation from an external enemy and give every patriot a chance to protect Ukraine. Some are mobilized by the army, and some join volunteer units. There are many volunteers who cannot fight constantly for various reasons but they are ready to fight on a rotation basis. We will find a legislative option for these realities of war, including social security of such fighters and their families,” the Ukrainian Defense Ministry said.
“The Ukrainians need to have confidence in their army and [army] commanders and feel the readiness of the Armed Forces to protect our independence and the freedom of choice of our people any time,” the Ukrainian Armed Forces said.
