“The Russian authorities are watching what is happening in Ukraine with concern. We hope that our Ukrainian partners can resolve the situation as quickly as possible, we are currently observing it unfold in the country. First, Russia needs to do what it is doing: to help this brotherly country and one of our leading partners despite everything. Second, we must not interfere in any way in Ukraine’s domestic affairs,” Peskov said in an interview with the Kommersant FM radio station on Wednesday.
At the same time, it is necessary “to listen closely to the possible appeals of our Ukrainian partners regarding granting this or that assistance and providing services, but again only if these appeals come from Ukrainians themselves,” Peskov said.
The Russian authorities would like to see Ukraine, “a brotherly country for us, be prosperous, stable, democratic, rich and very close to us spiritually, economically in terms of investments and so on,” Peskov said.
