Exhibition Dedicated to Battles for Kyiv Against Russian Army Unveiled in Brovary

An exhibition called “The Moscow-Ukrainian war. The battle for Kyiv. March 2022. Battles in the Brovary direction” was unveiled on May 8 in the private Museum of Weapons in Brovary by Yevhen Hredunov. Exhibits collected during fierce battles in Brovarsky District, Chernihiv Region, and particularly Sumy Region were presented at the exhibition.

“This is one of the little steps taken by me to bring the victory of Ukraine closer, to show who we are, to show and feel our self-identification, to make a choice. There are a lot of people who are, indeed, heroes, who went to fight from the first days of the war. They went not because they’d signed a contract, not for the sake of receiving social benefits. They have been fighting since day one and are still fighting, even now,” the owner of the private collection, Yevhen Hredunov, explained to those present.

Visitors to the exhibition will be able to view a lot of trophies left behind by Russian occupiers during battles in Brovarsky District, Chernihiv Region, and particularly Sumy Region, including documents, photos, weapons, ammunition, clothes, food, etc.

The Mayor of Brovary, Ihor Sapozhko, also visited the exhibition. “As opposed to the enemy, weapons, ammunition, weapons, flags, clothes, and the elements of life of our brave defenders, who heroically defend our land and our lives in the war that is currently going on in Ukraine, are also present,” he said, commenting on the exhibition.

So, visitors can compare the mentality and structure of the military lives of Ukrainian defenders and invading Russian occupiers.

“We need to know our roots and history for self-identification. We need to understand the real reasons for Russian aggression. We need to know our enemy and resist it. The exhibits presented in the museum highlight the importance of each other,” Yevhen Hredunov who also took part in fighting in the Brovary direction said, as he explained why this exhibition is important for Ukrainians.

The exhibition will run till the end of summer.
