The state joint-stock holding company “Artem” fulfilled the state defense order ahead of schedule.
“State Joint Stock Holding Company ‘Artem’, which is part of Ukroboronprom, shipped a batch of unguided aircraft missiles RS-80 to the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Thus, the company fulfilled the state defense order ahead of schedule,” the Ukroboronprom website says on August 20.

The RS-80 unguided aircraft missiles were designed by the Artem design bureau for the armament of attack and special helicopters of army aviation, as well as combat aircraft of assault, fighter, and bomber aircraft of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The missiles are capable of penetrating 400 mm of armor at a launch range of 1,300 – 5,000 meters. The range of destruction of air targets – up to 4 km, ground targets – up to 7 km.
RS-80 is designed to destroy enemy manpower, armored vehicles, fortifications, and other targets. To ensure the most effective defeat, the designers of the Artem State Joint Stock Holding Company provided for equipping the RS-80 with various warheads and detonators.
The RS-80 unguided aircraft missile was put into service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In October 2020, the Artem Company produced the first batch ordered by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
