A family of eight, including four children, was murdered in the occupied city of Makiivka, Donetsk Region. The occupation authorities reported that the perpetrators were just ordinary robbers, adding that they had allegedly already been detained. But an adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, Petro Andryushchenko, suggests the murder is the work of Wagner mercenaries.

According to the occupation administration, their bodies were found in one of the households at 21:15. The family's car was also stolen.

The youngest of those killed was a one year old. Children aged seven and nine also died.

Russia’s so-called local "Interior Ministry" in the region issued a report on the detention of three alleged suspects. All of them, according to occupation authorities, have previous convictions and allegedly "confessed that they committed a crime to steal a car and valuable property."

It added that the suspects could face the death penalty.

Petro Andryushchenko, the adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, has posted a message on his Telegram channel suggesting that the occupiers were hiding the truth about the real perpetrators –  Wagner mercenaries.

He claims the family was murdered due to their ethnicity as the victims were Roma. All those killed suffered bullet wounds to the head at close range.

Austin said he had "not seen significant reporting" of North Korean troops being "actively engaged in combat" to date.

He added that he spent almost a night monitoring public sources and working with insiders. On the basis of this information, Andryushchenko claims that this murder was committed by "several subhumans in military uniform."

The occupiers will cover up the crime committed by the Russians, as was the case in Mariupol, Andryushchenko added.
