“The Russians have already marked the capture of our region and equated it to victory in the Second World War, despite not having reached the border of the region. They also hold rotations, involving locals. How does this happen? A man is invited to work, for example, at a water company. In a few days, instead of getting his first pay-check, he gets a summons by his ‘new homeland'”.
The Russian occupiers want to overcome the resistance of Ukrainian fighters by using residents of Severodonetsk and Lysychansk to complete part of their task, the regional military administration reported.
In spite of their dishonest fighting methods, Russian troops have not been able to occupy the Lysychansk-Bakhmut road in four months. They control only areas from which the Ukrainian military was dislocated to new defensive positions. For as long as Lysychansk has been occupied by Russian troops, the enemy has not controlled a single meter of this road, according to the report.
Serhiy Haidai, head of the regional military administration, added: “The region is not under the full control of the Russian Federation, as fighting continues on its outskirts.”
