“The attack persisted for over three and a half hours and involved kamikaze drones deployed from the Crimean Cape Chauda towards the port infrastructure in the Odesa region,” Ukraine’s southern defense forces wrote on Telegram.
“Most of these drones approached from the sea and were intercepted by local air defense units.”
Debris from one of the downed drones damaged the roof of a warehouse in the Odesa region. Firefighters promptly managed to extinguish the resulting fires, no injuries were reported.
On the same night, explosions were heard in Kyiv, Vynnitsa and Kirovograd regions, with all the deployed drones being successfully intercepted.
Over the last day, Russian forces conducted numerous missile and air strikes on Ukrainian positions and towns.
They targeted civilian areas in Kostiantynivka, Donetsk, with Kh-59 and S-300 missiles, as well as deploying drones like Shahed-136/131 and one of an unidentified kind. Ukraine's Defense Forces intercepted one Kh-59 missile and all enemy drones.
Russian air strikes hit various locations in Kharkiv, Luhansk, and Donetsk regions, causing damage.
Additionally, Russian artillery strikes impacted roughly 140 settlements in several regions, including Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson.
