The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has reported suspicion against Yevhen Muraev, a former member of now banned Nashi [Ours – ed.] party and former Peoples Deputy, for anti-Ukrainian activities.

According to the investigation materials, Muraev is allegedly involved in subversive activities against Ukraine, with suspicions of high treason looming over him.

The SBUs findings suggest that Muraev allegedly exploited his control over the Nash TV channel to disseminate Kremlin-backed narratives across Ukraines information space. This intentional use of his media platform is believed to have aimed at manipulating public opinion in favor of the Russian Federation.

In response to these serious allegations, in early February 2022, the national security and Defense Council imposed sanctions on Muraevs TV channel, restricting its operations in the country.

Following the mounting pressure, Yevhen Muraev left Ukraine in May 2022, reportedly crossing the Ukrainian border into Hungary via Transcarpathia. It has come to light that Muraev and his family are currently residing in Vienna, with occasional business visits to Bratislava.

On November 30, 2022, responding to the ongoing investigation, SBU officers conducted a series of searches at Muraevs residence. During these operations, a significant amount of cash, including Russian rubles, weapons, computer equipment, mobile phones, and other materials were seized.
