Poland's Sejm, the lower house of the country's parliament, has unanimously passed a resolution expressing its support for Ukraine's accession to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). The resolution, adopted on June 16, received overwhelming support, with 443 deputies voting in favor, while only two voted against and seven abstained.
The resolution highlights the loyalty of the Ukrainian people and their right to determine their own path of development. It affirms the Sejm's full support for Ukraine's European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations.

Drawing on the example of Finland and Sweden, the document suggests that the procedure used to invite these Nordic countries to join NATO could also be applied to Ukraine.
The resolution anticipates the first meeting of a new Ukraine-NATO Council, which could potentially take place in Vilnius and include the participation of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
This council would serve as a platform for further discussions and cooperation between Ukraine and NATO.
