Pavlo Kyrylenko, the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, urged residents of the frontline city to evacuate, saying in a post on Telegram: “Every new day spent in the Donetsk region increases the risk of becoming a victim of Russian aggression.”
Russian troops have been shelling the Donetsk region intensively over the past few days and last night, they tried to break through in the Avdiivka sector.
"The enemy continues to shell all residential areas along the frontline and in remote areas,” Kyrylenko said. “There are many wounded. Russians tried to break through in the Avdiivka sector at night, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled the attack.”
On May 15, Kyrylenko reported that Russians fired two missiles at Kramatorsk, destroying a house whose residents had evacuated.
