The Eurovision song contest, hosted in the UK, Liverpool, will showcase Ukrainian culture on a grand scale. Although Ukraine emerged as the winner of Eurovision 2022, this year's competition will be held by the runner-up, Great Britain, due to the full-scale invasion of Russia in Ukraine.

The Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 will take place in the Liverpool Arena next to the River Mersey on Saturday 13 May with Semi-Finals on Tuesday 9 and Thursday 11 May.

"Eurovision in Liverpool will be held under the banner of Ukrainian culture. It will be massive. We have planned a powerful program to represent Ukraine in Britain," Oleksandr Tkachenko, Minister of Culture and Information Policy.

Oleksandr Tkachenko, Minister of Culture and Information Policy, expressed gratitude to the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport of Great Britain for their support of Eurovision, including allocating 3,000 tickets for Ukrainian fans.

"GBP 10 million for the event and 3,000 tickets for Ukrainians to Eurovision! We thank Britain’s Department for Digital, Culture, Media, and Sport for such support," the minister wrote on Telegram.

The minister expressed gratitude to the British for providing an opportunity for Ukrainians who were displaced by Russia's invasion to attend one of the shows.

Ukraine won this year’s Eurovision with the song Stefania by Kalush Orchestra, earning the right to host the 2023 edition. However, organizers concluded this could not be done safely while the country was at war with Russia, so Ukraine’s public broadcaster dropped its objections and agreed to work with the BBC on the event.
