Ukrainian border guards on the border with Belarus continue to monitor the movement of foreign ships, the press service of the State Border Guard Service said.
“The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine continues to provide enhanced measures to protect the border with the Republic of Belarus, including along river sections. At the same time, the movement of foreign ships crossing the border of Ukraine with Belarus along the Pripyat and Dnieper rivers is being monitored,” the statement says.
In particular, patrol boats and control border patrols escort ships, including from places of long-term service. The entrance of ships to the territory of Ukraine occurs both for the transit passage of the territory of the state, and for movement to Ukrainian ports.
“Having met a foreign ship, the border guards of Zhytomyr and Chernihiv detachments ensure constant monitoring of its movement and escort. The forces of the 10th separate operational response detachment Dozor, which is on the strengthening of this section of the border, are also involved in the control measures, the department reported.
Also, in the event that the vessel stops for the night, the border guards maintain the border regime within the zone of its anchorage. Unmanned aircraft are also actively used to control the movement of ships.
At the same time, berthing of vessels along the transit route is not allowed, as is the performance of actions for loading or unloading.
