You're reading: Social Policy Ministry: Number of refugees from Donbas and Crimea in Ukraine exceeds 640,000

The Social Policy Ministry of Ukraine registered over 640,000 refugees from the Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as of Dec. 15.

“As of Dec. 15, 2014, social protection agencies have registered 642,358 refugees from Donbas and Crimea, which accounts for 433,395 families. [The decision to give] monthly targeted aid to cover costs of living has been made in regard to 179,645 families,” the ministry’s press service reported on Dec.16.

According to the ministry, over 83,247 families have already received the above-mentioned aid, worth a total of Hr 111.3 million.
