Kyiv Post is looking for a talented journalist based in Kyiv who will be responsible for working on investigations with a focus on corruption. The successful candidate must be able to identify suitable stories and then develop leads, pursue sources and information in order the create impactful articles on the most important topics in Ukraine today.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Identify suitable topics for investigation

Pitch ideas with flair and imagination

Develop a network of sources and experts to generate investigative stories on a regular basis

Collaborate with the video team on projects when required

Skills:

High level of written and spoken English

Fluency/proficiency in Ukrainian and/or Russian preferred

At least 2 years experience conducting investigations

Ability to find stories before anyone else

Imagination and flair in telling complex stories in a way that will engross the reader

Ability to work to deadlines

Adherence to journalistic ethics and standards, including accuracy, objectivity, and reliability of sources.
