UNIAN: Antonov responds to Russia’s plans to produce Ukrainian cargo aircraft under new brand

The An-124-100 Ruslan, with a capacity to carry 150 tonnes, was developed by aircraft maker Antonov in the late 1970s and had its maiden flight in 1982. Ukraine's Antonov Airlines and Russia's Volga-Dnepr airlines are the world's leading operators of the An-124-100.

Antonov State Enterprise does not intend to restore cooperation with the Russian side for the production and modernization of An-124-100 Ruslan aircraft.

“The question of the resumption by the specialists of SE Antonov of mass production of An-124-100 Ruslan aircraft together with the Russian side is not on the table,” Antonov press service stated in a response to an inquiry by Obozrevatel.
