The commission of the State Aviation Service of Ukraine on consideration of issues on the rights to operate air routes on October 26 will consider the application from Ukraine International Airlines (UIA, Kyiv) for obtaining rights to perform regular flights from and to Ukraine on the Kyiv-Doha and Kyiv-Izmir routes.
These issues are put on the agenda of a commission meeting, posted on the website of the State Aviation Service.
The company asks for permits to operate flights to Doha with a frequency of 14 flights a week, the validity period is from November 1 for an unlimited period and to Izmir with a frequency of seven flights a week for the same period.
In addition, the company applied for obtaining the right to operate fights on the Kyiv-Sanya (China)-Kyiv route once a week with a validity period from December 20 to March 24, 2018.
As reported, Qatar Airways (Qatar) on August 28 launched daily flights from Doha to the largest Ukrainian airport Boryspil (Kyiv). According to data of the air carrier booking system, one-way flight costs around 375 euro.
