Boryspil International Airport (Kyiv) in January-May served 2.458 million passengers, which is 1% less compared to the same period in 2020 (some 2.471 million).

At the same time, as the airport’s press service reported on June 9, in May it served 707,000 passengers, which is 25 times more than in May 2020 (during the lockdown), of which 345,255 passengers on regular flights, and 361,738 passengers on non-scheduled flights.

Over the five months of 2021, Boryspil airport served 1.253 million passengers (less by 33%) on regular flights and 1.205 million passengers on non-scheduled flights (more by 98%).

The number of transfer passengers decreased by 79.6%, to 79,240 people (over the same period last year, this figure was 388,984).

The share of transfers in the total passenger traffic decreased from 15.7%, to 3.2%.

Boryspil International Airport is the largest airport in Ukraine with a total occupied area of about 1,000 hectares. It has two runways: the one is 4,000 meters long and 60 meters wide, the second is 3,500 meters long and 63 meters wide. There are four passenger terminals and a postal and cargo complex on its territory.
