Today there is no progress in negotiations between national joint-stock company Naftogaz Ukrainy and JSC Gazprom, Naftogaz CEO Andriy Kobolev said in Kyiv last week.

“There is no progress today… but it will be!” he said.

As reported, the decision of the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce obliges Naftogaz to purchase 4 billion cubic meters from Gazprom in 2018.

Late January Kobolev said that Ukraine is ready to discuss the future of Russian gas transit across Ukraine after a decision of the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce. He did not rule out that the government and the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry of Ukraine would hold talks on behalf of Ukraine.
