You're reading: Inter demands ‘decisive action’ from law enforcers against activists blocking channel

The Inter TV channel has submitted to the Prosecutor General's Office, the Interior Ministry, the Security Service, the National Police of Ukraine a statement about the obstruction of the lawful professional activities of its journalists.

“The Inter TV channel demands law enforcers to take decisive action to unblock the channel, to restore law and order,” the channel’s press service said in a statement on Sept. 5.

Inter made this statement in connection with the fact that starting from 09.00 on September 5, protesters have been obstructing operation of the channel. The channel reported that at least 50 people blocked the entrance and exit to the channel and are preventing the access of journalists and employees of the channel, as well as employees of other companies of Inter Media Group to their work places.
