The Ukrainian power grid is operating stably, despite a cyber-attack on computer systems of the fuel and energy complex enterprises, Ukraine’s Energy and Coal Industry has reported.
“Now specialists are investigating into the reasons of the unlawful interference and the level of threat. We are taking measures not to allow the loss of information and damage of devices,” the ministry said.
DTEK reported that regional electricity supply companies under control of the company are operating as usual. There are some failures in the operation of client’s services.
“We are taking measures to prevent the attacks and actively cooperating with Microsoft vendors and anti-virus software designers not to have companies affected by the virus,” the press service of DTEK told Interfax-Ukraine.
As reported, computer networks of the Ukrainian government, Kyiv City Administration and dozens of major state-run and private banks and companies experienced a massive malware attack on June 27, and some have had to suspend operations.
