Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has dismissed Vasyl Volha from the post of the head of the state commission for financial service markets regulation.
A relevant decree was signed and published on the Web site of the head of state on July 25.
The official was dismissed due to a violation of an oath of civil servant.
Volha was detained on July 19. Pechersky District Court in Kyiv ruled to place him in custody for two months as a pre-trial restriction measure.
According to Acting Ukrainian Prosecutor General Renat Kuzmin, the head of the state commission for the regulation of financial services markets is suspected of accepting a $500,000 bribe.
Volha was appointed the head of the state commission for the regulation of financial services markets on Match 22, 2010.
