The leader of Chechnya has denied sending fighters to support
Kremlin-backed separatists in Ukraine, but said that Chechen fighters
could have decided on their own to cross the border and take up arms
against Ukraine.
Ramzan Kadyrov said he did not order any of his fighters to Ukraine, but
added that if any Chechen fighter wanted to go, he or she had the
right.
