You're reading: Yuriy Boiko to lead Opposition Bloc parliamentary faction

Participants in a conference of the future parliamentary faction of the Opposition Bloc at the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada supported the election of Yuriy Boiko the faction's leader in the 8th Rada.

“The conference unanimously supported the election of Yuriy Boiko as the head of the Opposition Bloc parliamentary faction. It was also decided to be in the opposition to the authorities at the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada,” the party said on its website on Tuesday, Nov. 18.

The Opposition Bloc expects that its faction would number at least 40 MPs.

“The faction remains open for joining by other parliamentarians,” it said.
