Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk departed for the United States on Wednesday, Sept. 24 to attend the 69th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

The prime minister will speak at the Council on Foreign Relations, an independent analytical center of the United States, later today, the Ukrainian government website reports.

Yatseniuk speech at the general political debate of the UN General Assembly is scheduled for the same day.

The Ukrainian prime minister will meet with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and negotiate with the delegation heads of a number of UN member countries.

Yatseniuk will present the government’s action plan for the reconstruction of Ukraine on Sept. 25, at a meeting with U.S. businessmen and leaders of U.S. investment and financial institutions.
