Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk thinks the Geneva talks over the conflict in east Ukraine provide the most acceptable format.

“I only believe in one negotiating format – the Geneva one, involving the U.S., the EU, Ukraine and the aggressor state of Russia,” he told reporters in Kyiv on Aug. 22, when asked to comment on the possible results of the future meeting in Minsk on Aug. 26.

Ukraine is increasing its army’s fighting capabilities, he said, recalling that the government has allocated Hr 9.1 billion for the anti-terrorist operation in the country’s east.
