Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has said that daily power blackouts, which are intended to lower electricity consumption in Ukraine, should be uniform across the country, including in territory which is temporarily not controlled by Kyiv.

“I have ordered measures that power cuts should be uniform even in those areas which are not controlled by Kyiv. Everyone should be on an equal footing,” Yatseniuk said after a closed meeting of the cabinet on Dec. 19 evening.
